STAR TO ASIA Notice of Appointment of Vice President

 
STAR TO ASIA CO.,LTD (Headquarter: Songshan Dist., Taipei City, Taiwan (R.O.C.), Chairman: Teppei Fujiwara), today announced that Directors Miki Fujimaki and Damian Tang have been appointed as Vice Presidents, effective August 1, 2022.
 
 

 
◆ Information of the Vice President

Name: Damian・Tang

＜Brief History＞
He joined NetEase e-commerce in China as a buyer for global fashion garments after graduating from Bunka Fashion Graduate University. While at the job, he was in charge of purchasing from multiple haute couture brands, as well as other aspects including fashion imagery editing, inventory circulation and management, marketing in China and more. In 2016 he joined the Kering Group, the world’s third largest luxury group, as a marketing consultant and VMD. With his understanding of the conceptual structure of brands and management of sales capabilities he successfully grew his line by 180%. Later he decided to settle in Taiwan due to personal plans, and joined “STAR TO ASIA” for e-marketing works in 2017 with his passion for e-marketing. With time he created the “Hong Kong & Singapore Operation” and was promoted to sales manager for successfully reaching the monthly sales of NTD 15 million. With customer demands rising in a year, the overseas business expanded to Macau, the United States, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and beyond, as he assumed office as Director of Overseas Department. He became the first Malaysian Vice President of STAR TO ASIA in August of 2022, his 6th year with our company and customers, working towards his goal of expanding overseas business.
 
◆ Comment from the new Vice President on his promotion
I am grateful for the trust of my customers, STAR TO ASIA and my partners. I would not be where I am today without your support and companionship.
Everything within these 5 years felt very accelerated, allowing me to have experienced 10 years’ worth of a marketer’s life. Be it international marketing, basic framework construction or multi-channel sales platform expansion, it was truly rare for a company to be able to provide so much experience in so little time. I feel I am fortunate. Numerous uncertainties and issues prevail, which is exactly what makes things fascinating. I hope to provide more value to our customers as we will only be happy when our customers are happy! Let’s march forward to the bigger uncharted area!

Name: Miki Fujimaki

＜Brief History＞
She graduated from College of Social Sciences at Ritsumeikan University, and joined a real estates construction firm as a new graduate in 2004 undertaking the proposals on land utilization. In July 2009 she switched to FINDSTAR Co. Ltd., where she took charge of various works like development of entrusted media along with media purchase under the media team of Direct Marketing Department. After her promotion to manager and later to director-general, she was assigned to Business Development Department in 2014 to focus on advancing new business. She was assigned in October 2015 to STAR TO ASIA CO. LTD as an external director of OFFLINE Department, in which she took charge of entrusted media development, advertisement proposing and organization establishment in Taiwan. Having given birth to her first child in December 2017, she returned to work after six months of maternity leave to initiate the Office of Corporate Culture Promotion[J1] . As the director of HR & GA Department, she has promoted the modification of personnel system, and hired, trained and retained talents with compatible philosophies, leading the company to win the “Best Companies to work for in Asia” held by HR ASIA AWARD for the fourth consecutive year since 2019. She became the first vice president as a working mother in our group in August 2022.

I am honored to be assigned such great responsibility. I would ask for your awareness that, with the industry becoming increasingly competitive, we must not just survive, but also familiarize ourselves with the future organizational and company development for three years later. I hope that as we “foster a culture of assigning and developing a mission,” we will continue our advancement in a way that is both flexible and efficient.
I still have a lot to learn. Hopefully with the aid of your strengths I will devote fully to the business development of our company, sparing no efforts in my work. I would highly appreciate your encouragement and advise henceforth.
