Since April 2015, when we expanded our business from Japan to Taiwan. It's been five years, if counting the preparation period for the establishment, which started in the summer of 2014.
   
STARTOASIA   How is our business development in Taiwan and worldwide so far?

STA is our partner, but not just a typical business partner. We've developed business in Taiwan, where repeat purchase business model is not yet popular. When we established a local subsidiary in Taiwan, there weren't as many Japanese mail-order companies as they're now. STA had almost no experience back then. We planned and thought together, "How can we make Taiwanese customers satisfied?" Certainly, we still face failures, but we have had many successes as well.

STARTOASIA   What is the most impressive thing or episode in our relationship?
Mr. Okawa



 
A few years ago, I was suddenly hospitalized and was on leave for a while. At that time, the entire team from STA, including Chairman Teppei Fujiwara, strongly supported us so that our business could carry on as usual. Also, while I was hospitalized, I was really impressed by the well wishes and encouraging messages from each member.
Fortunately, I was soon able to return to work. This incident made me realize once again that STA is a partner who supports us on every occasion.
   
STARTOASIA What are you looking forward to with our collaboration moving forward?
Mr. Okawa

 
STA has expanded the number of employees at once in a short period of time, and I think it'll increase steadily in the future. No matter how big of a company STA becomes, I hope that the will continue to guide us and work together with the same passion!
